L'Eté Noir

L’Été Noir is a collection deeply inspired by François Truffaut’s celebrated film, The BrideWore Black. The narrative revolves around the figure of a modulatingwoman—transforming into the ultimate femme fatale and tailored to the ideal image ofeach of her late husband’s killers, adopting a new identity each time to blend in and carryout her vengeance.
This concept of modulation and constant physical transformation comes to life in theexhibition and presentation curated at SPAZIOSSHEENA, the brand's headquarters. Themetamorphosis of the garments and silhouettes directly reflects that of the protagonist: justas formal trousers and classic slip dresses stretch and exaggerate their proportions tobecome extra-long, the models' bodies visually merge with the creations they wear.Through the strategic use of body painting, the female silhouette becomes an integral partof the fabric and colour: one model splits her body between black and white, camouflaging herself with the dress, while another dissolves into the intense shades of a deep bluegown.
Completing the vision of the collection is a fundamental section that serves as theconceptual core of the project.
Here, the figure of the bride in black is reinterpreted as ayoung widow who sheds the traditional weight of mourning, leaving the darkness of thepast behind to boldly embrace a new life.
